Lachlan Barker is a freelance journalist and writer.
He graduated from Sydney Uni with a science degree, with a double major in Zoology and Chemistry in 1987.
Lachlan has worked for Greenpeace, Vancouver and Sydney; Australian Seabird Rescue, Ballina, NSW, in the environmental sphere; and the Sun-Herald, Sydney; the Grafton Daily Examiner, Grafton; and The Northern Star, Lismore, in the field of journalism.
He currently lives in Byron Bay and works as a gardener when not writing.
Lachlan is becoming more apolitical with every passing year, as being political means having to vote for one of two very bad options.
His first book, about becoming an alcoholic, can be read (free) at Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/396620
Lachlan occasionally does paid research for the Lock the Gate Mine Rehabilitation team.
