Dale Webster

  • Dale Webster has carved a niche for herself telling stories that resonate with regional Australians.

After moving up through the ranks from cadet to graded journalist on the Bendigo Advertiser, Dale was appointed managing editor of Southern Riverina News before spending a decade at The Border Mail in Albury.

She made a foray into radio as the weekend reporter for ABC Goulburn Murray before Darwin beckoned and she ventured north to see if crocodiles really do rock and took a job on the Northern Territory News

After a break, she returned to journalism in 2014, joining News Corp’s Victorian-based rural masthead, The Weekly Times.

Dale is an inaugural recipient of a Walkley Foundation Grant for Freelance Journalism on Regional Australia.

She publishes independently through her own title, The Regional.
