Sophie Mirabella was one of five MPs to boycott Parliament when Kevin Rudd apoogised to the stolen generation. Barry Everingham throws down the gauntlet.
I FIRST HEARD of Sophie Panopolous when I returned from New York to help the Republicans in the lead up to the Referendum John Howard hijacked.
After listening to her and watching her over the top performances I thought we were home and hosed for victory. After all, Panopolous was in league with troglodytes such Howard, Tony Abbott, Bronwyn Bishop, Bruce Ruxton, David Smith and Kerry Jones to name a few.
Before she banged the telephone down in my ear she said: he’s a friend and then told me in language a wharfie would be proud of what I could do!
Her views on the monarchy are, of course, her concern.
But her views on Aboriginal Australia are everybody’s.
She refused to stay in the House when Kevin Rudd made his Sorry speech – one of five Liberals who boycotted the event.
She claimed no Aboriginal Victorians had been “stolen”; how she comes to that claim is her business.

But, she goes along with crap sprouted by Andrew Bolt and the like that NO Aboriginal children were stolen.
I’m laying down a gauntlet to this woman.
If she sincerely believes this lie let her move a motion in the House that Australia’s first Aboriginal MP, Ken Wyatt, be thrown out for misleading the House by saying in his memorable Maiden speech that his mother was a member of the Stolen Generation
Over to you, Sophie.
