Barry Everingham: Support fearless independent journalism

By | | comments |

Independent Australia's senior correspondent is Barry Everingham, one of the legends of Australian journalism; an incisive political commentator, a passionate republican as well as a friend and confidante of royalty. Here he talks about why IA should be supported — because it has no axe to grind and is beholden to no-one.

In an era where an organisation like the Murdoch media is permitted to traduce the notion of honesty, it is absolutely necessary for independence to be available.

IA has no axe to grind, is not beholden to anyone and is fearless in its reporting.
