Peter Johnstone is a retired primary school principal living in Adelaide.
Peter was born in South Africa and arrived in Australia in 1973, after evading detention by the apartheid regime.
His special interests are the state of the world today and meeting the challenge of climate change — confronting the ‘deniers’ and the ‘merchants of doubt’; the news media; grass roots democracy and resisting the destruction of the Port of Adelaide by developers. He is an atheist and an active supporter of Australia becoming a Republic.
Peter is a keen bushwalker, lawn bowler and is a survivor of prostate cancer.
He is happily married with 2 daughters and a granddaughter.
