David O'Brien

David O'Brien is from Newcastle, NSW. He is a coxswain, grade A electrician and firefighter.

Dave's writing has been predominately followed as an artistic pursuit for around 20 years producing poems, music and the odd sports article. He has read his work at several Sydney inner city venues.

His works have been included in the first 2SER poetry CD, Australian Anthology of Poetry 2005, Fairfax Press and Afloat magazine.

Dave has been regularly active on social media using the twitter hashtag- #auspol, since 2012.

He says:

"I write and use social media in attempt to bring clarity to issues and to contribute towards a better society."
