Michael Gibbons is an Australian writer with a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) majoring in Screen and Cultural Studies.

He writes about film, television and nostalgia, exploring the pop culture that shapes generations.

His favourite shows include Doctor Who, The Young Ones and Red Dwarf, reflecting his love of science fiction and British comedy.

He enjoys music from British bands such as Oasis, Blur, Elbow and Arctic Monkeys, has attended nearly 1,000 pub trivia nights, and loves discussing film and television with anyone who will listen — just don’t expect him to tolerate toxic fanbases.

When imagining the ultimate dinner party, his dream guests would be John Lennon, Rik Mayall and Eric Cantona.
