Jason Foster

Dr Jason K Foster is an author, freelance journalist and history teacher who grew up in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. He holds a PhD in Media and Communication from RMIT, focusing on the representations of history in film and other media. He holds degrees in history, journalism, teaching and Spanish.

Jason has presented at numerous forums, both within Australia and internationally. His research centres on how visual imagery shapes national consciousness, with a particular focus on how different types of media, such as films, shape national consciousness and political thinking.
