Di Ridley is a Western Sydney-based advocate, writer and founder of Finding U Beyond Trauma, a trauma-informed coaching and mentoring initiative built on the belief that a person’s past does not have to define their future.
With qualifications in Youth Work and Community Services, along with Mental Health First Aid and First Aid training, Di combines professional knowledge with lived experience of trauma, family separation and navigating complex social and government systems.
Her experiences have shaped a strong interest in human rights, child protection and out-of-home care, family and social issues, political accountability, and the impact public policy has on ordinary Australians.
Through her writing and advocacy, Di is particularly interested in examining the gap between what institutions and political figures say and what their actions ultimately deliver.
Di brings a distinctly Western Sydney perspective to her work, together with a belief that difficult subjects can be challenged with honesty, humanity and, where appropriate, a little humour.
She is the founder of Finding U Beyond Trauma, where she provides coaching, mentoring, practical support and advocacy for people seeking to rebuild confidence, strengthen boundaries and move forward after difficult life experiences.
