David Muir

David Muir is Chair of the Real Republic movement. He is also Chair of the Clem Jones Trust and director of the Clem Jones Group of Companies. His long history with the not-for-profit sector includes roles as Founding Director and subsequent Chair of Crime Stoppers Queensland Limited, Founding Director of Foodbank Queensland Limited, Former President of Amnesty International Queensland and Australian Vice President of Amnesty International. David has also held positions as Chair of Awards Committee of Former Parliamentary Members Association Queensland Inc. and Member of the Accountability Round Table.

In recognition of his community work, he has been invested as a Knight of Honour of the Order of St John of Jerusalem

As a lawyer, he is Partner of HWL Ebsworth Lawyers. He was named in Euromoney World's Expert Guide for Insurance and Reinsurance as one of Australia's best insurance lawyers and has been named in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Insurance Law.
