David Meech

  • David Meech is a Kiwi who spent almost a decade as a Bondi basher enjoying the surf, white wine and calamari.

Back in the Shaky Isles, he works as an accountant and often writes things on the interwebs as mental or emotional therapy.

His work has been published in the Aucklander, the Standard, Oval Magazine and Thinkerbeat.

He is a regular author/contributor to the New London Writers website, where he write fiction, general articles, satire and book reviews.

David has also been commended in the Segora International Writing Competition, a published finalist in the Rangitawa Writing Competition and has twice won the Less Than 100 Words online flash fiction competition.

He says that, as well as being  overfed, underpaid, overmortgaged and underappreciated, he is also an ageing musician and once played in a band that Russel Crowe auditioned for — although he now strenuously denies this.
