Vikki Watkins completed a Diploma of Education at Melbourne University in 1991.
Born and raised in Melbourne, she lived in Japan for 18 months, teaching English. She experienced the 1995 Kobe earthquake and as a result, developed an immense appreciation of geography and culture.
After returning to Australia, Vikki resumed primary teaching and then left to raise two boys, now 18 and 19. As a single mother and domestic violence survivor, she is hugely invested in women’s issues and politics.
Vikki is currently working in the health sector and studying for a Master of Journalism.
