Charles Hunter

Charles Hunter runs a carbon-positive digital agency called Tailbird. In his spare time, he is an avid Twitcher, conservationist, podcaster and freelance writer.

Charles has travelled extensively across Southeast Asia and most recently returned from Sumatra, where he visited some of the last remaining primary lowland rainforests on the island. A major highlight for him was seeing fresh Sumatran Tiger prints.

He is also the overall prize winner of the IA Writing Competition: Most Compelling Article 2023, as judged by Ranald Macdonald AO, founder of the Australian Press Council and former CEO and editor-in-chief of The Age.

Charles is based in the beachside suburb of Bronte in Sydney.
