COMING EVENTS: John Pilger examines 'unofficial truths' and the last taboo of World War

John Pilger will be appearing in two events in Australia in the next month, where he will discuss war and the great unmentionables in Australian public life.

On 31 August, following the release of his latest film Utopia, John Pilger will take part in the Festival of Dangerous Ideas at the Sydney Opera House.

In conversation with Liz Ann Macgregor, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, he will discuss the devotion in Australian public life to the 'a status quo of unmentionables'.

On 11 September, John Pilger will give the Edward Said Lecture in Adelaide, in memory of the great Palestinian educator, writer, visionary.

His subject is: 'The Last Taboo: Gaza and the threat of world war'.
