Thomas J Brookes is a retired company director, engineer, inventor and yachtsman who participated in three America’s Cups. He is a self-described "citizen of the world" (after extensively living overseas), social and political investigator and commentator.
He is also an anti corruption fighter, non voter, terminal leukaemia survivor and passionate environmentalist described as a “renegade ratbag” by former Queensland premier Campbell Newman and a “professional protestor” by The Australian newspaper.
Thomas is one of the founders of the Occupy Movement in Australia, fighting against rampant inequality.
