Sarah Antill

  • When Sarah Antill stopped watching TV, she realised she’d been outsourcing her thinking. When she unpacked her real opinions, she discovered to her dismay they conflicted with her job developing agrichemical products. So she quit and moved to northern NSW to grow organic/permaculture fruit and vegetables.

Unbeknown to her, the Northern Rivers “gas wars” were just about to begin – bringing with them a contagious new local philosophy: “If you don’t question authority, authority can do what it likes with you.”

In her irresponsible youth, Sarah earned a PhD from Oxford University, where she also tutored, and a BSc(Hons) from Sydney University, where she later lectured and worked as a research chemist.
