Mike Berwick AM BSc(Vet) was arrested during the Daintree Blockade that led to the world heritage listing of Queensland’s wet tropical forests. He was subsequently awarded his Order of Australia for its conservation and services to local government.
He has been a media advisor to former Federal Environment Minister Senator Graham Richardson; served as mayor of Douglas Shire for five terms and was the local government representative on former Federal Environment Minister Senator Robert Hill’s biodiversity advisory council.
Mike is currently a senior policy advisor to GreenCollar, Australia’s largest environmental projects developer.
