John Coop

John Coop FRGS. Born Oldham, Lancashire, 1967.

Grew up with the greats at Old Trafford; Clive Lloyd, Faroukh Engineer, Wasim Akram and Ian Austin. University of Hull graduate in Geography. Ex-Royal Navy, now a teacher of 23 years in North London and currently Adelaide.

Founding member of The Adelaide Barmies, SACA Member and proud Footscray F.C. season ticket holder. Married to Denis Lillee’s biggest fan, Michelle. Cricketing ability thwarted at an early age by total lack of ability. Keeping wicket for PAOCCC (badly).

Passions: cricket, test cricket, Footscray, Arsenal, Fleetwood Town.
