Cate Altamura

Cate Altamura is a freelance journalist and has worked in Uganda as a broadcast reporter covering stories on riots, human rights, conservation and tourism. Cate’s first story in Uganda was a riot in the midst of Kampala. Here she truly realised how invigorating journalism can be albeit a dangerous field. 

Cate received her Master of Journalism from Monash University in Melbourne and has a passion for covering stories that are generally overlooked in mainstream media.
