Arthur Burgif was born in 1961 and is Australian from an Iraqi background.
He came to Australia in 1994 after four years in captivity in a Saudi Arabian prisoner of war camp. Prior to that, he served as an Iraqi communication soldier on the front lines between 1981-1990 (Iran war and the invasion of Kuwait).
Arthur has a diploma in IT, Systems Admin from Miller TAFE. Currently, he is the administrator of a literary website (www.inkwells.org). Arthur likes to write poetry, political observations and short stories in Arabic and English.
