Ana Pararajasingham is an independent researcher and writer with a long-standing interest in issues of conflict, justice, and social cohesion. He served as Director of Programmes at the Centre for Just Peace and Democracy (CJPD), a Switzerland-based action research centre, from 2007 to 2009. Over the past three decades, he has written extensively on the conflict in Sri Lanka and its wider implications. He is the author of Sri Lanka: A Victor’s Peace (2019), a collection of articles written during the decade following the end of Sri Lanka’s civil war and published in several international journals and newspapers.
A strong proponent of multiculturalism, Ana advocates for it as the most viable path forward for multi-ethnic societies seeking lasting peace, inclusion and cohesion. He is currently engaged in a project, Uprooted, profiling 33 remarkable individuals of Sri Lankan Tamil origin who have made significant contributions to their adopted countries.
