Dr Alan Hancock is an educator, writer, theatre director and consultant in communication skills and creative practice.
He lives in Perth but writes everywhere.
At 17, Alan wrote an article about the floods that covered Mid Wales and the border country around Chester (UK), his home town. It was published in a national magazine: He got his name on the front cover, a cheque for three pounds and his first taste for the writing life. He has been writing ever since.
Alan has always loved words and stories. Now he uses story-telling skills in all his work, whether writing for the page, the stage, or the voice.
His scripts have been produced by the BBC and ABC (in Australia), while his short fiction and articles have won awards and are published in a range of magazines and journals.
