Adrian Vandermey, 26, has a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and International Relations and a minor in History and Political Thought from the University of Western Sydney.
He is currently undertaking a Masters of Arts – International Relations at the University of New South Wales. He says he chose international relations as a field of study because he was interested in politics and became fascinated with international politics after the events of 11 September 2001 and the shift in the international system it caused, as well as the, perhaps, negative change in domestic ‘democratic’ institutions.
Adrian also enjoys European Football, having been an Arsenal and Ajax supporter for as long as he can remember. When he is not reading academic books and papers, he enjoys the works of J.R.R Tolkien and watching documentaries on pretty much anything.
