Simon Katterl (he/him) is a mental health and human rights advocate. He has lived experience of mental health issues and using private and public (community) mental health services.
Simon runs his own consultancy company that has included providing advice to government ministers and departments, legal services, as well as mental health services. He has also contributed to The Guardian and The Age and has been featured by the ABC and other outlets.
Simon writes wide-ranging academic work on human rights, mental health, regulatory oversight, stigma, equal opportunity law and digital mental health services. He supports others with lived experience to be part of public debates, such as by coordinating with Croakey Health Media on their #SpeakingOurMinds series.
