Mike Kelly is a former CEO and manager with the "not for profit" sector and Victorian Public Service.
A social worker, trained at Melbourne University, he contributed to the deinstitutionalization movement in Victoria in the 1970s. Mike led Youth Justice reform in Geelong Victoria during the 80s and later planned government reforms in disability, mental health and aged care in the Barwon South West Region. He developed an understanding of the complexities of homelessness and disadvantage, working with the Salvation Army and the Sacred Heart Mission St Kilda. Mike directed a key youth and family agency in Geelong, developing ground breaking early intervention services for young people at risk.
Mike is an avid reader and writer with a strong interest in in Early Intervention, Homelessness, Youth Justice and Social Justice issues.
