Mardi Wilson is a 24-year-old sociological writer living in South East Queensland.
She graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Social Enterprise) degree in 2012 and completed a thesis in accordance with the Griffith School of Humanities Honours degree (Sociology) in 2014. Her focus areas within her Sociological studies are Gender and Masculinities Studies, Identity Studies and Cultural/Societal Behaviour studies. She intends to commence writing a PhD in the near future.
Mardi has always used university holidays as a time to travel and spent a year living in Central America and Mexico in 2013, between undertaking her Bachelor degree and Honours program. In 2014, she travelled to Amsterdam to attend a conference in representation of her university and has attended and presented at Sociological, Cultural and Leadership conferences in Australia.
In her spare time, Mardi enjoys practicing yoga and writing about a range of different social, cultural and political topics, as she believes there is a lot needing to be done in order to better the world and sparking thought about important issues is a great place to begin.
