Keith Presnell has a diploma in agriculture and a master's degree in environmental science.
He has worked as a forestry officer, land settlement officer in Papua New Guinea, town planning officer in Victoria and an environmental scientist in the Northern Territory for the Power and Water Corporation (previously Power and Water Authority).
Before Keith retired in 2003, he was director of renewable energy research at Charles Darwin University and Australia's representative on the International Energy Agency (IEA's) photovoltaic subcommittee.
