Debra Tranter is the Founder of
Oscar's Law, Australia's most prominent puppy factory campaign. After taking a phone call in 1993 reporting 'sheds full of dogs', Debra went to investigate. Since then, she has dedicated her life to ending puppy factories. She officially established Oscar's Law in 2010 after rescuing a tiny 'stud dog' she named Oscar, who remains her best friend and sidekick today.
When Debra started out, she took on politicians who not only supported puppy factories, but ran them. Now after years of hard work educating the public and making it a political issue, she stands beside politicians introducing legislation to end them.
