Anton Pulvirenti is a Sydney based artist working in the mediums of drawing, painting and the graphic novel.
His first graphic novel, Gooomiland, reimagines his grandfather's experiences as an enemy alien during World War II.
During his PHD at Sydney University, Anton spent time conducting informal art classes with the Refugee Art Project in Villawood Detention Centre. Here, Anton witnessed first hand the unfair treatment of the internees and this experience has informed his politically inspired work to date.
Anton has a daughter, two mums and a father. He votes accordingly.
