KARL GROSSMAN is a full professor of journalism at the State University of New York/College at Old Westbury, Long Island, New York, U.S.A. He is also an award-winning investigative reporter.

For 29 years, Karl has hosted the television programme Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman. Karl also wrote and presented the video documentary Nukes In Space: The Nuclearization and Weaponization of the Heavens.
For 20 years he was a member of the Commission on Disarmament Education, Conflict Resolution and Peace sponsored by the United Nations and International Association of University Presidents.
Karl has given presentations around the world on war and peace as well as on energy and environmental issues and also on media matters including at the University of Technology in Sydney. He is a member of the board of directors of the organisations Beyond Nuclear, Radiation and Public Health Project and Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting.
Honours he has received for journalism include the prestigious George Polk Award (1970), James Aronson, Generoso Pope, Leo Goodman and John Peter Zenger Awards.
